Lord, I am angry, and I do not want to tidy it away before I bring it to you. I bring my anger to you honestly, Lord, without pretending it is smaller than it is, and without letting it decide everything on its own. I bring my anger to you honestly, Lord. I do not want to hide it or dress it up as something calmer than it is. I want to come close instead of pulling away, even now, even like this. Help me hold what is true about how I feel while staying open to what is true and good beyond it. Guide my words and my actions so this anger does not get denied and buried, but also does not get to cause harm to anyone, including me. Your word says in Hebrews 4:16, “Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace”. So I come close instead of hiding, trusting you can meet me honestly in this. Now I ask for clarity about what comes next. I do not know yet whether this calls for forgiveness, or a boundary, or a hard conversation I have been avoiding. Maybe it is more than one of those. Show me, Lord, without rushing me. Give me the discretion to act well, not out of pressure but out of what is actually right here. And in Colossians 3:13 your word says, “bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any”. Teach me what that kind of patience and forgiveness could look like for me right now. Thank you for letting me bring this to you plainly instead of making me pretend. Stay close as I carry it forward. In Jesus’ name, amen.
