Lord, something good happened, and I noticed it. Before the day rushes on and the moment blurs into the ordinary, I want to stop and say thank you. Help me hold onto this so it does not slip away unnoticed. Lord, help me name clearly what was good, rather than letting it pass by unremarked. Slow me down enough to receive it with real attention, not just a passing glance. I do not want to rush past your kindness on my way to the next thing. Your word says in Psalm 100:4, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise”. And I choose to enter with thanksgiving right now, Lord, before this good moment slips quietly away. Shape my words and my actions so that this gratitude is sincere, not a quick reflex I forget by tomorrow. Let it settle into how I live, not just what I say in this moment. Thank you before I forget, Lord, and let that thanks keep taking root in me. And in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 your word says, “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God”. In everything, I choose gratitude, Lord; let this thankfulness take root and become part of who I am. Keep this small, good thing alive in my memory, Lord. Let it become part of the ongoing thankfulness I offer you, even on days when noticing feels harder. In Jesus’ name, amen.
