Lord, I come to you with more on my list today than I can do well, and I feel the weight of it pressing on me before the day has even started. I need your help to see clearly and to choose wisely. Give me a discerning heart today, the kind that can tell the difference between what truly matters and what only feels urgent. Help me see which responsibilities need my care right now and which ones can wait, or can be set down without guilt. I do not want to spend myself on the wrong things and miss what you have actually placed in front of me. Show me the next right decision, one step at a time, instead of the whole mountain at once. Your word says in Matthew 6:34, “Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.” Lord, keep me from carrying tomorrow's weight today, and help me rest in what is actually before me now. When I am tempted to drive myself with pressure, to try to do everything and do it perfectly, slow me down. Give me strength to do the important work with care rather than with panic. Let my eyes stay fixed on what is actually mine to carry today, not on every possible task pulling at me from every side. Where something is not mine to hold right now, help me release it without shame. Lord, help me see what matters most today. And in Psalm 127:2 your word says, “It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late”. I do not want to strive in my own strength alone, Lord, so meet me in the effort and steady my pace. Thank you for meeting me in the middle of a full day rather than waiting for me to have it all figured out. Walk with me through what is ahead, and steady my heart as I go. In Jesus’ name, amen.
