Lord, I come to you tired in a way that is hard to explain, going through motions that used to feel full and now feel hollow. I do not want to perform anymore. I want to mean it again, Lord, even now. I bring you my worn out heart, the one that has been showing up without really arriving. I do not want distance between my words and what is true inside me. Meet me where I am honest, even if that honesty is quiet or empty handed. And when I cannot summon big feelings, let me take small steps toward you anyway, without shame, trusting that faithfulness does not require performance. I want to mean it again, Lord, even now. Your word says in Luke 18:13, “standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven”. Like that honest prayer, let my own words rise plain and true before you, Lord, not polished, just real. Sharpen my attention, Lord, to the ordinary evidence of your kindness that I have been too weary to notice. Let gratitude rise, not as a mask over what is hard, but as something real that grows alongside my tiredness. Teach me to see grace in small, plain moments, and to let that seeing become worship again, done in your name and for your sake. And in Psalm 103:2 your word says, “Praise the LORD, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits”. Stir my soul to remember your kindness, Lord, and let gratitude take root in me again. Lord, thank you for meeting me in the going through the motions and not asking me to pretend. Restore what is sincere in me, gently, in your time, and let gratitude and honesty grow together. In Jesus’ name, amen.
