Lord, I am not sure, and I am telling you the truth. I do not want to pretend with you today. I do not know what I want. I have tried to sound certain, and I am tired of acting as if I have answers. You already see me. So I will say it plainly. I am uncertain, and I bring that to you just as it is. Keep me from covering it with big words. Help me stay honest, with you and with myself. Your word says in Acts 1:7, “It is not for you to know times or seasons”. Lord, you hold what cannot be known yet. Teach this heart to rest while the answers are still hidden. Give me wisdom to recognize what matters to me as my understanding grows. Show me slowly, in your way. Help me listen carefully, without forcing an answer I do not have. Where I feel behind or frustrated with myself, give me patience. Let me be gentle with myself while I wait, and keep my heart open to you. And in 1 Samuel 3:9 your word says, “if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Jehovah; for thy servant heareth”. Lord, quiet this heart so it can listen carefully, and give patience while the way is still unclear. Lord, thank you for staying with me in the not knowing. I leave this open before you, and I will keep listening. In Jesus’ name, amen.
