Lord, I come to you today because I want to meet with you, not just get through the hours on my own. Here I am, as I am. Lord, slow me down and quiet the noise in me. Give me space today to notice you with me, in the ordinary moments as much as the still ones. Open my ears and soften my heart, so that I am ready to listen and receive. Stay close to me, and let me know I am not alone. I do not want to manage everything by myself today. So I bring you my whole self, the parts that are tired, the parts that are unsure, and the parts I usually keep tidy. Help me to come close without hiding. Teach me to receive your mercy and your help, and to take the next faithful step with you beside me. Your word says in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace”. Lord, help me draw near like that now, with nothing hidden, and receive the mercy and help you give. Thank you for welcoming me as I am. Walk with me through this day, and help me to keep turning towards you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
