Lord, you see me in this waiting. I cannot hurry what I am waiting for, and I am tired of what it is doing to me. Father, I will be honest with you. This waiting is hard, and it presses on me. Thank you that I do not have to pretend to be calm. Give me steadiness and patience for what cannot be hurried. Teach my heart to hope even when I cannot see ahead, and keep me from giving up. Your word says in Romans 8:25, “if we hope for that which we see not”. Lord, make that patient hope real here, and hold steady the one who waits. Comfort me where the waiting has weighed on my heart. Where I am weary, renew my strength, gently and in ways I can feel. Thank you for every small mercy I have noticed along the way. Let gratitude rise beside my sorrow without covering it. Be near me in the quiet hours, and lead me to someone I trust if the weight grows heavy. And in 1 Peter 5:7 your word says, “casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you”. Lord, take every anxiety of this waiting into your care, and renew strength where weariness has settled. Hold me steady, Lord, while I wait. I place this waiting in your hands, and I trust you with each day of it. In Jesus’ name, amen.
