Lord, I come to you tired of feeling so little. My prayers feel quiet and flat, and I will not pretend otherwise. God, the truth is that I do not feel much when I pray right now. I will not dress it up or force a moment that is not there. I bring you this plain, ordinary space exactly as it is, and I thank you that you do not turn me away for it. Hold my desire to keep praying, even when I sense little response and no emotion. Let simply wanting you be enough to bring me back again. Your word says in Romans 8:26, “we know not how to pray as we ought”. Lord, meet this honest, weary praying with your own help, and carry what cannot be put into words. Thank you that waiting is never wasted with you. Sustain my quiet trust as I keep waiting, without demanding a particular feeling or outcome. Let hope gather slowly and steadily, like morning light. Give me gladness where it is real, and room to be empty where it is not. Keep me turned toward you, one ordinary day at a time. And in Lamentations 3:26 your word says, “a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah”. Teach this waiting to be quiet and steady, Lord, and keep hope alive in a heart that is tired. I will keep coming to you, even when I feel very little. In Jesus’ name, amen.
