Lord, I have kept myself busy enough to avoid thinking. I do not want to run from this anymore. I come to you honest and a little afraid of what I might find if I slow down. God, give me courage to acknowledge what has been hard to think about. I do not want to be overwhelmed by it, just willing to look at it with you. Help me make space to reflect without rushing myself. Let me be patient with my own heart as I slow down. Lord, help me wait on you and ask for the strength I need. Your word says in Isaiah 40:31, “those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength”. Lord, help me receive these words with hope, without demanding that I feel stronger today. Give me patience as I begin to face what I have avoided. Lord, show me one small, manageable next step, nothing more than I can carry today. If I need help facing this, bring someone trustworthy alongside me who can listen well. I do not want to do this alone if I do not have to. And in Hebrews 10:24 your word says, “Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works”. Thank you for reminding me I am not meant to carry this alone. Bring someone good alongside me. Thank you for meeting me here instead of where I've been hiding. Lord, help me wait on you and ask for the strength I need. I ask for courage now, and peace as I keep walking toward what is true. In Jesus’ name, amen.
