God, you know how full my days have been. I have kept busy so I would not have to think. Tonight I want to stop avoiding, and I am coming to you as I am. Lord, I have used busyness as a place to hide. I am tired of hiding. I do not even have to name everything at once. I just want to be honest with you about the avoiding itself. Give me courage to slow down and let myself notice what is there. I do not want to pretend I am fine. I want to pour out what is inside me before you, without rushing and without shame. Your word says in 1 Samuel 1:15, “but I poured out my soul before Jehovah”. Lord, let there be room to be that honest before you now, and give courage to stop hiding. Give me wisdom to understand what I am feeling. Let me be gentle with myself as I listen. Show me one manageable next step, not ten. I am weary, Lord, so give me strength to make space for this honestly. If I need someone, bring to mind one person I trust, and give me the humility to let them stay with me in it. Let your word settle in me and steady me. And in Hebrews 4:16 your word says, “Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace”. Thank you, Lord, that this is a place to come close. Meet this weariness with mercy and grace, and give wisdom for the next step. Lord, I am not asking to feel everything today. I am asking to stop running. Help me stop running and face this with you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
