God, I come to you today and I don't want to pretend. I am not sure what I want, not sure what I'm reaching for, and I've been tired of acting like I have it figured out. I want to be honest with you now, just as I am. Lord, I don't have to perform certainty for you. I don't have to have the answer before I speak. I bring you my confusion just as it is, without dressing it up. I don't have to pretend, I can come honestly, and I want to keep coming this way, not hiding what I don't know. Your word says in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace”. So I will draw near without pretending, Lord, and trust that you receive me honestly. Give me wisdom to notice what actually matters to me, Lord, without forcing it out before it's ready. Let understanding grow slowly if it needs to. And give me courage to say the truth to the people around me, even the truth that I don't know yet. Let me not hide my uncertainty from those it touches, but let me speak it plainly and gently. And in Psalm 37:7 your word says, “Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him”. Help me rest here, Lord, and wait without forcing an answer before it's time. Thank you for meeting me in the not knowing, Lord. I don't have to pretend, I can come honestly, today and in whatever comes next. In Jesus’ name, amen.
