Lord, I bring you my mind tonight, the way it keeps circling around something that has not happened and probably will not. I am tired of living inside a future I cannot see. I want to stand here, in what is actually true right now, and ask you to meet me in it. When my thoughts run ahead of me into imagined outcomes, help me come back to this moment, to what is actually before me rather than what I fear might be. I do not want to live braced against a danger that may never arrive. Steady my mind. Remind me that my help does not come from my ability to predict or control what is coming, it comes from you. Your word says in Psalm 121:2, “My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Lord, let that be true in me tonight, my help is not in my own vigilance but in you who never sleeps. I bring my uncertainty to you honestly, Lord, without pretending it is not there. Give me wisdom to respond to what is real in front of me today, one step at a time, rather than being ruled by every imagined turn the road might take. I do not need the whole path lit up at once. I need enough light for this next step, and the courage to take it. And in Hebrews 4:16 your word says, “Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace”. So I come, not with certainty about tomorrow, but with boldness to ask for grace and wisdom for today. So I hold this fear open before you instead of gripping it tightly. My help comes from you now, and it will come from you in whatever actually arrives, not in what I have only imagined. Keep me steady, keep me honest, and walk with me into today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
