Lord, I have people to see today who are hard for me. I know how I can shrink around them, how I can go quiet or sharp in ways I do not mean. I do not want to be smaller than I could be with them. I bring this day to you before it starts. Lord, when I am with these people, keep me grounded. I do not want fear to shape how I stand or speak. Let me be honest without being hard, and steady without pretending everything is fine. Let me be be be be present the way I actually am, not shrinking, not performing. Where I feel small, remind me who I am in you. Your word says in Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” There is no condemnation waiting for me here, so let that truth hold me steady instead of fear. Give me wisdom for what I say and how I say it today. When something is said that stings, do not let me react in a way I will regret later. Let me choose my words slowly enough to mean them. Let me be able to disagree without disappearing, and to stay calm without swallowing what needs to be said. Let me be steady, not smaller, when I stand in front of them. And in Matthew 5:9 your word says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” Make me someone who brings peace into hard moments, even when it costs me something to stay calm. Lord, go into this day ahead of me. Whatever happens with these people, let me leave those moments able to say I was honest and I did not shrink. Thank you for walking through today with me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
