Lord, I come to you with a day that already feels too full before it has even begun. There is more asked of me than I can do well, and I do not know where to start. I need your help to see clearly and to carry only what is truly mine to carry today. Father, give me eyes to see what truly matters today. Quiet the noise of every competing demand long enough for me to notice what is essential and what can wait. Steady my attention so that when I choose where to spend my energy, I am not scattered in a dozen directions but able to look straight ahead and give myself fully to the work in front of me. Lord, show me what matters today, and help me do the next right thing with a settled mind rather than a divided one. Your word says in Matthew 6:34, “Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.” Lord, I release tomorrow into your hands and ask for grace to simply meet what today requires. I bring you my limits honestly, Lord, without pretending I can do it all or feeling ashamed that I cannot. You have not given me infinite strength, and I do not need to strive as though you had. Help me release what cannot be done well today, trusting that leaving something undone is not the same as failing you. Lord, show me what matters today, and let that be enough for me to hold in peace rather than in worry. And in Psalm 127:2 your word says, “It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil.” Lord, spare me from toiling in anxious striving, and let my work today rest on your provision, not my own strain. Thank you for meeting me in the middle of an ordinary, overfull day. I do not need certainty about how it will all turn out, only your steady presence guiding me through it one task at a time. In Jesus' name, amen.
