Lord, I come to you tired in a way that sleep has not fixed, and I do not want to pretend otherwise. I am not going to say I am fine when I am not, and I am not going to say I am coping better than I feel. You already see the truth of it, so I bring it to you plainly. God, this weariness sits deeper than rest can reach right now. I have not manufactured this, and I am not making too much of it. I lay it out honestly before you instead of covering it over. I do not know exactly how to pray about it, or what words would even fit what I am carrying. Your word says in Psalm 77:4, “You hold my eyelids open. I am so troubled that I can’t speak.” Lord, even when I cannot speak it clearly, you see me and you stay near. So I ask for strength that does not depend on my own reserves, because mine feel spent. Meet me gently in my body, my mind, and my spirit while this tiredness stays unresolved. I do not need to have this figured out for you to hold me steady inside it. Be my strength when I have none of my own. And in Isaiah 40:29 your word says, “He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.” Lord, be the strength I do not have left in myself right now. Lord, I will not rush past this weariness to force a cheerfulness I do not feel. But I trust that you are near me in it, and that even here, your care is not far off. I am not going to say I am fine when I am not, and I bring that same honesty to you again as I close this prayer. In Jesus’ name, amen.
