Lord, you know I keep starting again at the same thing. I am tired of my own pattern, and I am tired of the voice in me that calls me names when I fall short. I come to you honestly today. God, I want to begin again today, and I do not want to despise myself while I do it. I have failed at this before, and I will not pretend I haven't. But my past failure is not who I am. Meet me with mercy where I feel ashamed. Quiet the harsh voice in me, and help me answer it with truth and patience. Give me courage to keep trying. Your word says in Hebrews 4:16, “draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy”. So I come to you now, Lord, and ask for your mercy as I begin again today. Give me wisdom for today. Show me one honest step that I can actually take, small enough to do and real enough to matter. When I falter, help me return to it without drama and without hiding from you. Steady my feet, Lord. Teach me to keep coming back, one step at a time. And in Proverbs 4:26 your word says, “Make level the path of thy feet, And let all thy ways be established.” Lord, make my next step clear and steady, and keep me walking it when I stumble. Lord, I put this day in your hands. Hold me when I am weary, and help me begin again gently. In Jesus’ name, amen.
