Lord, I come to you tired, and not the kind of tired that a night of sleep mends. I would rather be honest with you than pretend. You see how worn down I am. I name it plainly: I am exhausted, and it has not lifted. I will not dress it up or hurry past it. Meet me with compassion and not shame. Lord, be gentle with me, and give me what I need for today. Give me enough strength and steadiness for what is right in front of me, one step at a time, and keep me from pretending that I am fine. Your word says in Psalm 13:2, “How long shall I take counsel in my soul”. Lord, hear this weariness without shame, and meet it with your patient compassion. If this tiredness continues, give me clarity about what support or professional care may be right for me. Help me to ask for help without embarrassment, and bring wise, trustworthy people alongside me. Let rest, food, and care be received as gifts from you, and never as failures. And in Galatians 6:2 your word says, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ”. Lord, teach us to share what is heavy, and make it safe to ask for the help that is wise. You are patient with weary people, and I rest in your kindness now. Lord, be gentle with me, and give me what I need for today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
