Your free prayer journal
You do not have to turn a hard day into a good paragraph. Start with a few words, leave room for Scripture, and come back when you want to.
Use the prompts below, or print them as a blank template. The prayer log makes room for what is still waiting as well as what has changed.
Your notes stay in this tab. Download or print them to keep a copy before you close or refresh it. They are not sent to Prayer Pew. Avoid using a shared device for private writing.
Your prayer log
Return when you want to. An answer may look different from the one you hoped for, and an unresolved prayer still belongs here.

Make it a small practice
- Say what is happening. A name, a fear, a thank-you or an unanswered question can be the whole entry.
- Add a passage if one is on your mind. Psalm 23 is one place to begin; you do not have to find a verse for every feeling.
- Return without grading yourself. Notice what changed, what stayed hard, and whether there is a small next step you can take.
Questions about prayer journaling
- How do I start a prayer journal?
- Write the date and what you want to say to God. You can add a Bible passage, one small next step, or something you are noticing. A few honest words are enough; you can leave the other prompts blank.
- Can I print a blank prayer journal template?
- Yes. Choose Download blank template (PDF) for a daily page and prayer log. You can also fill in the prompts here, then download your journal as a PDF or text file, or print it.
- Are my journal entries saved?
- They stay in this tab while it is open. They are not sent to Prayer Pew or saved to an account. Download or print them before refreshing or closing the tab if you want to keep them.
- What if a prayer is not answered?
- You can leave it marked Waiting for as long as you want, or describe what has changed. The log is a record of your experience, not a test of your faith or a promise that prayer will produce a particular outcome.
